GULLS GULLS GULLS

An interesting first winter Iceland Gull

The outer primaries look contrastingly darker

Quite a strong tail bar
Are these dark outer primaries, rather solid tail band and overall coarse markings indicative of Kumlien's Gull ?

The adult Caspo flies in with a full crop

The first winter Caspo never came close today

  1. Loving the Caspo shot, here's hoping I find my own in Durham this winter. Still a really rare bird up our way.

  2. Seems to be on the increase or is it observer awareness ? Still a bird that often gets confused with other species, good luck in finding one :-)
