CURLEW

Curlew are normally a scarce visitor to Beddington and are usually seen as flyovers but the cold weather has produced quite a few recent sightings and three birds have been present for four days now, although amazingly elusive. I've photographed Whimbrel on the deck at Beddington many times but the last two days have given me my first opportunity to get deck shots of Curlew. Haven't been close to them or been able to digiscope them yet but it's a start.
Curlew on the main lake. Not many gulls on a sunday
