ICELAND, ICELAND, NOT AN ICELAND

Our second 2w Iceland Gull appeared again today, after an absence of twelve days. It looks a little whiter and the eye looks a bit paler, 'Old Whitey still lingers on as well. Of interest was a leucisitic Herring Gull.

Leucistic Herring Gull (above and below), a pitfall for the unwary. These birds can show similar looking plumage to Iceland or Glaucous Gull at distant but the structure and bill is Herring Gull
